Today, Today.

I love the fact that there is nothing common about the love of the Lord.  His love towards us is powerful and jealous. God is Love!

This past Sunday I went to my brother's college graduation at Wofford.  Anytime there is a family gathering where someone is accomplishing something I always am the one to take pictures of everyone.  I like it.  Here is a pic of my family.  Obviously, I didn't take this picture because I am in it.  Grad1
My mom and dad now only have one more to graduate and then all their sons will be done with school.  I can't imagine what a relief it must be.  This was a good day!

Tattoo... and my Mom....

Photo_19

So this is my new tattoo. At least the outline of it.  It hurt like crazy.  I have a little one on my wrist that I got a few years ago which was a piece of cake compared to this.  The tattoo scene itself is the story of Jonathan and his armor bearer.  Its a story of faith, and stepping into your identity that's only found in the Lord.  You can read the story here

So needless to say when I went to visit my mom on mother's day it wasn't the gift she was expecting!  She freaked out and wouldn't look at it.  She said it looked too painful to look at.  My dad said it looks like He-Man.  Okay maybe it does....but it's not!

By the way this wasn't my mom's mother's day gift. I got her a Vera Wang Pocketbook from KOHL'S.  She likes pocketbooks! I love my mom! She's beautiful in every way!

Something Cool....

This past Sunday I was at Grace Fellowship Church in Atlanta leading worship.  It went really well.  Something I was thinking about on my way back into town was this.  Grace Fellowship is where Aaron Keyes is the worship leader who is also the son of Steve Keyes.  Steve Keyes is the pastor at CrossRoads where I am the worship leader.  He currently is on Sabbatical and this past Sunday Steve was at Mt. Zion Church in Greenville.  Jon Mcconnell who played lead guitar with me is on staff at Mt. Zion.

Steve was able to lead a prayer this past Sunday at Mt. Zion as he visited there.  Jon Mcconnell was released from Mt. Zion to go and play with me and likewise I was able to play outside of CRCC.  I just thought this was a cool picture of the interaction between churches in the area.  It creates community and reaching out of our churches own walls and I love it!
