Wonder and Warfare

New CD = New Sound = Demo's starting......

So for those of you who don't know, I am embarking on a journey next month to start a new worship album.  This is one of those things that I haven't taken lightly. Over the last few years there have been times I so desperately have wanted to do an album just because it's what worship artist do.  If you're a worship leader/artist out there and your motive behind doing a worship cd is so you can keep up with all the other guys doing their albums,well, the Lord probably isn't in it. I want a CD that releases an anointed sound directly to the listener's heart that takes them into the presence of God.  The key I believe to accomplishing this isn't complex at all.  It's intimacy with Jesus when no one else is watching.  So I sent off my first Demo track called "Closer than Angels" this past week to my producer's Jeremy and Brian.   I'm really looking forward to working with these guys.....

Encounter Tomorrow.....

Hey everyone, tomorrow night the band and I are playing at Redemption for a worship service called Encounter.  It starts at 7p.m. and there will only be worship tomorrow night for about an hour and a half.  We're looking forward to being in the Lord's presence tomorrow night together.  So if you're interested in coming out to worship, we'd love to see you! 

Mine and Lauren's new house guest....

So Sunday at 7 pm we got a new house guest.  His name is David Whitlow and he just graduated from Furman.  David has a great heart for worship and will be leading some this summer with me.  Lauren and I are excited about him staying with us.  So right when he got there that evening he wanted to go for a ride on the motorcycle.  He doesn't know how to drive so he had to ride on the back.  Needless to say it was hilarious, it's was like the scene from the movie "Dumb and Dumber."  Lauren took a picture, I will post it as soon as I get it.

Catch - Up.....

Last night we kicked off a worship event here in Dothan, Alabama.  We are at the Covenant United Methodist Church here in the city where about 100 youth are doing ministry projects throughout their city and the gathering for worship in the evenings.  It's an honor to join them. This past Saturday I finished the 1 Samuel tattoo and had breakfast in Charlotte with a new friend who love's the Lord.  We talked about the new wine the Lord is pouring out over this area through worship.  We talked about the outcome of our worship and what it means when people grasp this concept of the Church ministering to the Lord.  You can check him out here.
